A glimpse into some of the different projects that make up my creative process as an illustrator and the stories behind them. From Book illustrating to Capturing one-off pieces I have worked on a number of different projects, particularly in exploring emotional narratives.
Living in-between graphic novel
My self published graphic novel Inspired by the loss of my mum my novel offers an exploration of grief through the eyes of my brother. This philosophical narrative invites readers to reflect on their own experiences and emotions, fostering a deeper connection with the universal themes of love loss. Sunflower story: Childrens book
A heart-warming children's story I commissioned for a client who wanted me to illustrate and write a personalised story for her grandchildren. This narrative illustrates the journey of overcoming challenges through symbolism of sunflowers. This Narrative is not just about facing obstacles but also about finding strength and hope, much like how sunflowers turn toward the sun. this story carries a sentimental message that resonates with the importance of resilience and positivity. Nature illustrations
Though very different from my other styles of work my whimsical nature illustrations aim to delve into the emotional experiences we encounter as individuals. Inspired by my passion for nature and how we can use it to spark imagination and escapism. Through this idea I create pieces that capture beauty of nature. Additionally, I have utilized these illustrations to produce promotional material in partnership with the Norfolk Broads, focusing on promoting mental health within nature.

Commissions
Dandelion and dreams poetry book project
An Illustrated poetry book project I produced in collaboration with my sister (the writer) exploring themes of emotions and experiences of life through imaginative dreamlike concepts. This project is one that’s very personal to both of us as it’s based on our personal experience with mental health, memory and grief. Throughout all of my illustrations I tend to always be drawn to portraying themes of time, memory and loss, but for this project this portrayal was particularly amplified due to the surreal poetic nature of the illustrations.
The boy and the blue bear children's book
A short symbolic children’s story Exploring loss, love and grief through a child's perspective. throughout this project I emphasised the use of colour to narrate the journey of emotions the boy experiences throughout the story. Particularly focusing on minimalistic form to amplify moments of the boys journey. This book is a working progress in which I am soon aiming to publish.
